Our mission
Make high quality car design teaching available for everybody
inktank.academy has the aim to support design universities, students and professional car designers in their education, to improve their skills, knowledge and creativity. We want to support everybody in the world to reach their goals in car design.

inktank.academy offers an innovative learning concept. The structure of our course system allows for easy and fast learning. Each course presents step by step instructions of its respective topic and combines this with assignments. Our tutors grade your work. The courses are built upon one another. In this way inktank enables an efficient and enjoyable learning experience.
The classification into beginners, students and professionals is only a rough one. As an inktank user you may access all courses at all times.
The goal of inktank courses is not the sketch, but the car. This requires not only sketching skills, but also knowledge of the industry and conceptualisation. inktank.academy teaches all skills that are important for a job in the automobile industry.
High quality feedback
Straight from industry professionals
Your work is graded and corrected by our tutors. To generate quick feedback, works may be evaluated under several aspects by the community. Aside from giving points our feedback tool allows for comments on your assignments.
User levels in the various categories are visible to all inktank members. This allows you to judge the quality of the comment.

Leveling system
Getting feedback on an upload is great, but what about the overall improvements? At inktank.academy you will always be aware of your strengths and weak points. Check your profile to see in which skill category you can improve and in which category you are already successful.
Completing a course at inktank.academy gives you a certain number of XP (experience points). You also get XP when other users like your work. So as better your work is as quicker you level up!

Member story: MaXxout
MaXxout joined inktank.academy during his studies in Industrial Design. It allowed him to improve his car design skills up to a high level. After being inktank member for 10 months MaXxout has now started an internship at the Volkswagen Design studios in Wolfsburg.
